Taking exams at any age can be very stressful, be it a driving test or a written paper, nerves are very difficult to overcome.
Some people can sail through without a problem but for many, it is a case of managing their feelings.
Any exam is important which is why the stress levels become so elevated, without realizing it, pressure is piled on either by the individual or parents and other interested parties.
If you can prepare as much as possible well before the test then this will be a big advantage.
There is actually a point where cramming in more information is detrimental and if this point can be recognized, then it will leave vital time to try and relax with deep breathing or even some gentle breathing exercises.
There are many symptoms that can come about, sickness and headaches, shaking hands and even rashes. Everyone reacts differently and to some degree, some nervous tension is a good thing.
For example, an actor about to go on stage needs some level of adrenalin to make him perform to the best of his ability.
Thorough life examinations are likely to play a part so if you can learn how to manage stress sooner rather than later, it will hold you in good stead for years to come. Many people have used the process of self hypnosis; this is done by the use of audio and should not be dismissed.
If you can develop your own technique, it will be just as effective, even if it takes a bit of trial and error before you perfect the art of stress management.
