You are likely to have met a number of bright enterprising women, brimming with some terrific ideas, but terrified to take the plunge into entrepreneurship; you may even be one! Do you find some of these obstacles holding you back from your success?
Fear of failure: This one is only natural, but if you view failure as an opportunity to learn and grow, you will find it does not hold you back.
Fear of Success: This one is related to the expectations that you yourself and others may have of you. The pressure to succeed and not let people down can also be very daunting.
For women in particular it is a case of personal success impinging on familial duties and obligations and the guilt that goes along with not being able to cope on both fronts.
Lack of Support: Practical and logistical problems and lack of support can in fact hold you back but there are perhaps support groups out there that can help
Lack of Money: Be creative and do your research well; there may be far more opportunities and options that you may realize.
The Uncertainty: While going into business may be more exciting and fulfilling, there may mean letting go the security that comes from a 9 to 5 job and comfort of the regular appearance of a paycheck. But if your risks are realistic, you may well come out winning.
