If for reasons of good health or good looks or just self esteem, you want to get fit or are looking to lose weight, but are unsuccessful, it could be due to something as simple as Lack of Motivation.
Motivation can be an incredibly powerful driving force in determining how hard you will work towards what you want to achieve and how effective your strategies will be. Here are some tips to help you get motivated:
Focus on a goal: Take it one step at a time, focus on one goal and make it one that is achievable. If the goal is too farfetched you will not be able to achieve it and you will then lose interest and be disheartened.
If you are unfit, first aim to be able to walk a certain distance that you were unable to earlier and work up from there.
Donâ€™t get distracted: If your goal is to start eating healthier, make sure there is no junk food in the house, that there are only healthy food choices to choose from. That way the bag of chips of the gooey cake wonâ€™t distract.
Get positive: If at first you see no results in your quest for fitness, remember you have to persevere; results are rarely visible at once. Once you see results that will be a motivation enough to keep you going!
