The aim is to make the patient aware of his or her depression. During the procedure, writing takes place, such as note taking.

The patient writes down his or her thoughts, which primary the thought writing process focuses on negative thoughts.

Most times the writing process goes on outside of the office. The plan is to help the therapist teach the patient, which helps the counselor to decide the actions needed to manage depression.

The counsellor will use the notes to help the patient see that depressive symptoms can lead to various tricky and demanding problems during Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

The thoughts will come out in the patients behaviours in other words. Thus, the therapy does not spotlight primary on altering patterns of negative thinking, it focuses on changing the way the person thinks.

In other words, the therapy works with concern, acquisitions of thought or knowledge, while relating the processes to obtain knowledge through intuition, reasoning, and perceptions.

Cognitive Behaviour then is for those with behavior problems that link to depression and is primary used to reform thinking and behaviours.

Interpersonal strategies in therapy focus on various features and are often a short-term therapeutic strategy that relates to the relations between influences or people.

The counsellor will focus on influences that possibly link to the depressive symptoms of the patient during this type of treatment.

In other words, the counsellor will consider family, friends, and relationships to decide if possibly, links exist in the patients thinking patterns and/or behaviours. The goal is to enhance the patient’s interactions or separate the patient from influences that will cause them harm.

Thus, the therapeutic strategy can help build social relations, communications, emotions, expressions, and the like. Sometimes group therapy is, recommended to help promote social relations.

Those suffering depression can affect family, friends, or the people around the depressed soul, as well as the person suffering. Since depression can wear and tear on family unions it is essential to seek help.
