Great Post. The brain is an amazing computer. It's capabilities go far beyond our comprehension. That's why it is so puzzling why so many people neglect their brain's development. Becoming smarter and developing mental toughness is all possible if you dedicate the time into your mental health. Congrats on a nice post.

One book that I have found that motivated me to want to make these positive changes in my life is, Changing Your Course. Once I found that I felt better about my life, it was easier for me to understand the concept of forgiving.

You make some really good points about setting goals and taking steps to achieving them. One of the things I've found helps best is to have a step by step plan for not only setting the goal, but making it a reality as well. The system I use for making life changes is the one outlined in Changing Your Course by Bob and Melinda Blanchard. It really has helped me to evaluate my life and set personal goals that are realistic and achievable for me.

Hi,

I have recently become aware of the "self-talk" that goes on in my brain and am working on filtering out the negative self-talk and concentrating on the positive affirmations I can tell myself instead!

I'd like to recommend a book to you that really helped inspire me and is helping me to design the life I want to live now that I am an empty nester. It's called "The Woman's Field Guide to Exceptional Living" by Corrie Woods, and it is a little book, but powerful. There are tons of tips and practical advice on living the rich life we each deserve, along with beautiful artwork and inspiring quotes. Her website also has a section with stories about inspirational women that has motivated me deeply.

Hope you get as much out of it as I have. Thanks for your blog -- so glad I found it!

Cheers,
Linda

I've gotten a lot of help recently -- inspiration as well -- from "The Woman's Field Guide to Exceptional Living." Talk about helping women get more from life! I simply couldn't put this book down. It is written in a warm, inviting style and it's loaded with practical tips I can do right now.
