Stress management wouldn’t seem like something that would be a part of goal setting but it could be the diversity between you attaining them and not attaining them. There is positive stress and negative stress.
Positive stress adds anticipation and excitement to life, and we all thrive under a certain amount of stress. Deadlines, confrontations, competitions, and even our frustrations and sorrows add depth and enrichment to our lives.
Our goal is not to get rid of stress but to learn how to control it and how to use it to help you attain your goals.
Insufficient stress acts as a depressant and may leave you feeling bored or dejected; on the other hand, excessive stress may leave you feeling all mixed up inside.
What you need to do is find the optimal level of stress which will individually motivate but not overwhelm each of us.
Optimal Stress
There is no single level of stress that is optimal for every person. We are all individual creatures with unique necessities. As such, what is distressing to one may be a joy to another.
The Four strategies for effective goal setting are as follows:
- State your goal in very specific terms that you can accept
- Confront your fears and expectations immediately and progressively
- State your goal in very specific terms that you can accept
- Put your plan on paper and into action as soon as possible
Your goal
Planning a career move is much like mapping your route for a road trip. If you don’t know where you are going, you can’t decide how to get there, but if you do know where you are going, you’ll get there faster.
Goals like “Go back to school” are too common and not precise enough. You have to interpret these goals into precise statements such as “Enter a college accounting program by next fall” or “For the next two months, search for work in the computer securities field.” You have to know precisely what you want to do and when to go about it.
Deal with your fears and expectations of yourself
Look over your list of things you will have to do to attain your goal. Do you believe that you can do it? If you have doubts, take some time to think them through first.
When it comes to your children, meditation and motivation can go hand in hand.
Meditate on what you want your children to do, how do you want them to behave and how do you improve their learning aptitude.
You will see in what areas they can be motivated easily, when you have been more exposed to them.
In order to make you more attuned to what others around you are thinking and feeling, just being more tuned in to your inner self.
This will in turn, enable you to figure out what will motivate your child the most to get them to do what you need them to do.
By means of meditation, we can allow ourselves to listen to the sounds around us and relax our mind and body. Can you perceive sound what your children are saying? Can you interpret their body language or their eyes?
What is Meditation?
We should look at what meditation is and then learn what will motivate your kids to what you want and need them to do. Meditation is not just a technique; it’s a way of being.
Relax those nerves. What is the matter with you? Sometimes we have to ask self-questions and tell self to unwind the nerves to resolve our emotions.
We all go through panic attacks, worries, fear, anxiety attacks, and the like at some point in our life.
Some of us are likely to panic and anxiety while others is less prone to adapt. What is the matter with you?
Some of us be frightened and worry over little things that we have control over, while others worry over larger problems, which still they have control in most instances.
Sure, if you were facing ten, fifteen, or twenty years in jail then you have likely cause to worry and most likely will not have recourse. Still, you could petition the sentence.
Most times, we worry over money issues, relationships, deaths, illnesses, injury, and the like. The emotions often respond to these issues as they develop, and as our mind perceives, labels and decides what level of danger is present, the emotions react appropriately.
Death
Now let’s think about the situations. Death, do you have power over death? Is danger present if someone in the family dies? Do you have the aptitude to learn from the death and progress with your life?
Are you facing difficulty getting rid of anxiety and constant panic attacks and other such troubles? While it is not easy to dispose of these problems, yet using the following stated techniques would certainly help you in going far away to control these panic attacks and bouts of anxiety.

Choose a specific goal and write it down.
Students should be taught that there are many different kinds of goals. They need to learn about academic goals, financial goals, physical goals, and good-deed goals. They also learn about the ideas of long- and short-term goals.
They learn that a long-term goal is something they want to accomplish for the entire school year and that a short-term goal is something they want to accomplish on a weekly or monthly basis.
Students should make a list of all of the goals that they think they want to achieve after they learn about the different kinds of goals. Students should write down all thoughts without interruption and in a quiet place, being careful not to judge or dismiss any of their ideas.
After they have this long list of goals written down, they should put the list away for a few days. Some of the things that they write down may energize their minds.
While every person is motivated by something different, money may not work for every child. Some people have motivation from inside or inherently. These people do not often require rewards or encouragement to stay them motivated to complete or finish a task. In order to succeed, they have the mind set. Others are extrinsically motivated, or need outside forces to keep them interested in carrying out a chore or tasks.
These are the people that need a lot of support, rewards, or praise so as to stay motivated to complete a task. Kids are no unusual and money may or may not work for all children.
Besides, using money as a motivator helps kids increase self-esteem when they can look and see the improvement that they have made. Money is a great learning lesson and parents that use that as an incentive can merge it with lessons that kids can use for a lifetime.
How to Motivate Children?
Those who feel that money should not be used as a motivator say that children should not be taught to work for materialistic things and that they should be taught to be motivated from inside.
